A message from Cody
This says, “Be careful” (crossed out) and “I hope that you are safe”.
Cody drew this the day we had the tornado in Vancouver, WA (January 10, 2008). He was home with me after a doctor’s appointment watching the news coverage. He was worried about his classmates so this is what he drew, with no help or prompting from me. He simply showed it to me when he was done and said it who it was for.
For a kid that never liked to draw, read, or write (until recently), he’s come a long way this year.

He’s so cute! I love seeing how they hear things and think things should be spelled when they’re first learning how to make words.
