Jack ‘n Tracie

So Friday night we joined Grandma Carolyn, Sam and Fiona at Kevin’s school for his play “Once Upon a Mattress”. The drama team has been working on this play almost since school started this year and it shows. It was a two and a half hour production filled with dance choreography, volumes of acting lines and some great singing! (Kevin really surprised us with his ability to sing and dance!) He normally refuses to sing around us.

I’ll add some video clips and pictures when I have the chance to put some up on YouTube. I had some editing glitches on the first run through and wound up with clips meshed with other clips. Still learning how to use our new JVC camera software!

On Saturday we went to Cathy’s house where they had 100 inches of snowfall! (Which equals about 4-5 feet of accumulation)

We have some gorgeous pictures of that trip including one of me and Jack Jr. buried in her back yard where I dove off sorta head first from her 2nd story back porch. (Sorry Honey! Won’t happen again!)

Everybody had a blast playing in the snow, playing board games in the house and warming up by Cathy’s huge wood stove downstairs. We’re planning a return trip early next month. (I’m going to repair Cathy’s faucet.. hehe.. that’s our excuse to get back up there! Pssstt… Cathy-Friend, could you post me the make and model of your faucet ASAP please!)

We haven’t QUITE had a “Normal” week since the holidays and new years, but we’re getting close, which I’m thankful for.

Tonight we have… DUN DUN DUN.. AMERICAN IDOL! I can’t wait to see if Paula and Randy are still on it! (And to hear the aweful sounds that come from our TV set as people that have no business attempt to croon and chortle their ways to Hollywood.) Crossing fingers for another Chris Daughtry or Bo Byson.
