New Years Day
What an awesome day yesterday was! (Although I had my misty-eyed moments, this is always a wierd time of year for me.)
While we were taking down the Christmas decorations I kept feeling like we had missed half of Christmas. I wish it wasn’t such a busy and frantic time of year.
We played a bunch of games (Scattergories and Magic, The Gathering) and spent the day together as a family. It was nice to not spend a day all disconnected and doing our own things like we do sometimes.
I know it’s not Thanksgiving, but I’d like to give a HUGE thanks for such a wonderful family. I love them all so much, there’s no place in this world I’d rather be. I had a few emotional moments yesterday and they hugged and loved me.
Melissa and Kayla are coming to work with me today. It’s not “Bring your kids to work day” but I don’t go out of my office much so at least I don’t have to drag them through the hospital with me. It’ll be nice to have some company. Too bad it’s not bring your Wife to work day. That would be fun. 
You know.. other than stopping by here and there, I’ve never “gone to work” with you. *sniff*
