“I’d rather stick a needle in my eye”
Not.
Yesterday I had a clogged duct removed from my right upper eyelid. It’s the third one I’ve had this year and since I know they take forever to go away, when my doc said they could surgically remove it, I went for it. I didn’t realize this meant I’d lose the duct altogether, but at least I don’t have to worry about it clogging again.
It was a really quick procedure, but still painful and freaky. I was panicky by the time we left. I couldn’t see, was disoriented, and wanted to get home NOW. Denise and Ralph were watching Cody and Denise asked me yesterday if I’d do this again if I got another clogged duct. I said yes, but that was before I took the patch off.
I so wasn’t prepared to have it look way worse when I took the eye patch off. I kinda wigged out. Ok I totally wigged out. *cough* Tears and all. Bloody tears too.. it was.. freaky freaky freaky. And while wigging out I thought of how I told Denise I’d do it again if I got another one. I was then thinking “no way Jose!”. But today it looks much better. So.. maybe. I just don’t want anymore of these and hopefully it won’t be an issue.
They also injected a mild steroid in the other clogged duct on my lower left eyelid that developed in April and never completely went away.
I now know I’ll never tell someone “I’d rather stick a needle in my eye” …..

Bloody Tears???? Eeeewwww

Yeah.. why do you think I was freaking out??
It looks much better now, except for the fact that while she was scraping some gunk out of the corner of her eye she scratched off the scab on the outside, so now THAT gets to heal too…
