We almost never have issues with our internet. It’s always up and running fast. But the second I start editing our sites and moving things around, $h1t has to hit the fan. In the middle of moving the two websites around and re-organzing, our internet slowed to a weak crawl… Of course it chose to do this right when I was at a stage where everything would appear broken to the outside world. Not that it’s *that* big of a deal. It’s not like we have hundreds of viewers who would go “OMG jackntracie is down!” but.. still. It made me feel “exposed” with everything all broken and stuff and not being able to fix it because the internet was dying.
Then today.. just as I’m moving and rearranging the photos section, the power goes out for about a minute and the internet was completely dead for about 20 minutes after the power came back on. I heard sirens shortly thereafter… and it’s raining pretty good today. So, it’s pretty likely that some idiot who forgot how to drive on slick roads on the first rainy day in months hit something big. (Actually, I hope it wasn’t too serious and whoever wrecked their car is ok..)
So, lesson to all you Northwest Natives and Newbies: When it rains for the first time in months, the roads WILL be slick. Get used to it already!
Funny thing to note: Cody came up to me wide-eyed and all serious and says, “Mom… the TV! It…turned off! Then (long dramatic pause)….. it turned back on BY ITSELF!”. Cute.
