Not good
My stepdad isn’t doing good. They doctors/nurses are starting to say stuff like “if he recovers” rather than “when”.
They tried to wean him off the breathing tube. He couldn’t breath on his own. His infections have gotten worse, his blood pressure is low, he’s got a fever, etc. They are discussing doing a tracheotomy.
I honestly don’t understand what is going on, to be honest. He collapsed on the bus, they intubated him, kept him on the breathing tube for too long, he got sicker, and continues to get sicker. My mom doesn’t clearly understand all that’s going on and we’re all fearing he may never come out of this.
Sorry to be depressing. There is just no good news at all right now.
