Milestone

*dusts off the cobwebs*

Sorry it’s been so long since we posted. We’ve just been busy doing the same old grind and I’ve worked like 14 hours overtime this week. Jack threw his back out too so it’s just been a strange couple weeks.

Since we upgraded our computers we’ve started dabbling in some EQ again. It’s much nicer to log on and not be so lagged out all the time. I actually *want* to play some now.

Now for the milestone. Drum roll please….

Cody hasn’t worn a diaper for three days and two nights and has not had one single accident. Not even at night. He’s even gone pooh on the potty… which was the big hurdle he needed to jump. That was pretty much the only thing holding him back. His fear of the toilet.

Yeah I know.. kind of a gross milestone to brag about but ya know what? It’s a big deal! I’m elated to not have to change diapers anymore. I’m done. Jack is a bit more melancholy about it because Cody is our last baby… But I’m thinking there are a ton of other things to miss about taking care of a baby. Poopy diapers is just not one of them for me. Go figure! And after all, Cody did turn 3 last MARCH so it’s not like he did this ahead of schedule or anything. In fact, he gave us the “opportunity” of changing his diaper for much longer than any of the other kids. Heh

Anyway… I don’t know if the dry nights will last but since he’s gone two nights with no issues, I’m not gonna start the pullup thing with him just yet. We’ll see how it goes.

Funny thing to note. After his first day of no accidents, I told Jack, “I think he’s ready”. The next day when Cody was trying to go pooh, he said, “Mom. Please don’t say I’m ready. I’m not ready”. Then he hopped down and said, “I love my underwear”. What a kid!
