Yay, a New Month!

I’m looking forward to the fall season. It seems this has been a very long summer. Looking back; October 2003 we had 80 and 90 degree weather clear up till the week before Halloween. Then we had a short but harsh winter with ice storms and snow. Then in April we were back to 85+ degree summer-like weather. Was there a spring or fall in there? It sure doesn’t seem like it! It didn’t help that this was one of the driest and hottest summers. Even though we made up for the lack of rain last week… lol.

Last week we had five solid days of rain. People were so happy around here. You can tell the true Northwest natives from the immigrants. The immigrants complained about the five days of rain, while the natives rejoiced! I was definitely rejoicing. ;)

Last night was Casey and Melissa’s Back to School Barbeque. We had a nice dinner and then got to meet both of their teachers. Both are nice older ladies. I especially liked Melissa’s teacher, so far. :) They start school next Tuesday! And believe it or not, we’ve been ready for two weeks! (Yes, us… who normally shops for everything the day before school starts. Not this year. We are on top of things!)

School started here on the first. Richie started today and I posted photos for all!

When I was in Washington, I noted how dry it was. Sure seemed odd! Hope this year is better!

Ahhh, back to school shopping. Those were the days. lol
Sarah called me Tuesday night at midnight from Las Vegas to tell me that she was in a bar having her first legal drink. They grow up so fast.
Things are very busy at work and I love my job, but I hate my boss.
Brian and I are still dating but he started a new job on Monday working swing shift and that sucks. We went from talking every night to never talking. :(
Kevin the braces look great and Kayla it looks like you have some interesting classes. I wish they had offered sign language when I was in school.
    I miss you all.

Very cool all around. The five days of rain were met with much rejoicing over here at Ben’s parents’ farm. The field where all the goats stay was completely mowed flat and Joel was having to supplement all of their forage with hay. It also meant I had to mow the lawn again after a bit of a break.

Yesterday’s going away party/BBQ was a lot of fun. I’m going to miss you guys a lot over the course of the school year. Keep in touch and thanks for coming :)
