Busy Weekend and New Employers
Jack should be getting his offer today and will soon be switching over to a new employer. It’s a scary and exciting time! We already know the hospital signed the agreement so one way or another, Jack’s employer will change. Hopefully they have similiar benefits and such. That part worries me. Same job, new employer. We’ll see how it goes. It could all be good. There are more opportunities for Jack with this company that if the employer stayed the hospital.
Cathy visited us this weekend with her new boyfriend. He was really nice and I liked him. Having Cathy here always makes our weekends great. I was sick unfortunately…. with a cold. I’ve been dealing with this cold in one form or another for almost two weeks! Today is the first day I finally feel like I’m getting better from it. I am such a baby when I’m sick.
It was fun to be able to take the kids places in the kidmobile. Jack and the kids did a bunch of yard work this weekend too (while I worked) and we took them to the store for them to pick out little rewards for all their hard work. Since it was unseasonably warm, they chose to pick out water play items such as squirt guns. My “reward” for them was a small wading pool (mostly for the little ones). They had squirt gun fights and water balloon fights. Was a busy fun-filled weekend!
Today is my last day off before my work week starts. Timmy (our newest kitty) is at the vet being neutered as we speak. If they call and say he’s ready to come home, I’ll be running to pick him up. My check should arrive and I’ll be running to the bank to deposit it when it does. You’re probably thinking, “so what?” Well, for me it’s a big deal to be able to do little errands like that. I’ve been stuck home without a car during the week for what seems like forever!! So, this is cool.

Sounds like the weekend was a blast
I’m sorry you’ve had to have a cold for most of it. Cathy it’s good to hear your well
Thank you Denise. How are you two doing?
The changes are still up in the air, and portions of the contract are still under negotiation. I’ve been given the choice of either more free time, or more money. The more money could come with exponentialy tougher work hours, so it’s a really hard choice. I’ll be making that choice either today or tomorrow.
Hey Cathy-
Happy you finally got your mobility Tracie, I know it was one of your biggest complaints when we used to have our long at home for hours chats. Heh. Sorry for not being on the site much, my computer died.
