Gorgeous weather at last!

Well, after what seemed like an ETERNAL grey rainstorm, we’ve had a few days of blue skies and warm weather!

I even managed to start up the burning pit in the back yard and burned enough twigs and branches to fill a 2 man tent. (Only about a 6 man tent worth to go now…)

We fired up the barbequeue grill last night and had roasted chicken breast for dinner too! (It was a wonderful little sampling of spring in this wet winter.)

Rumor has it that the weather will stay nice throughout the weekend as well. Which means I may actually get all those branches burned up and be ready to rototill and plant grass seed in the back within the next few weeks! I’ll have to take some before and after pictures to share.

On the work front, I just got around to getting my yearly review and it went much better than I had anticipated. (Whew!) We also found out who our new outsource vendor will most likely be. I can’t post it yet, since it’s not “Ready for press” yet, but everyone is excited, as it was the company that all of Info Systems had hoped we would get. Within the next 4-8 weeks I’ll have a new Employer, and hopefully a whole new world of opportunities available to me. It’s a scary, yet exciting time.

  1. I have been enjoying the weather so much also. Lots of walking and enjoying it while it’s here. I thought you wern’t going to rototill the yard? Is everything cool?

  2. :D Good luck and congratulations, Jack!

  3. I wasn’t gonna rototill the yard, but there’s really too much clutter on the surface, and I’d really like to churn up any rocks and crap that might be in the way, As well as exposing any root systems that all those shrubs may be leaving behind. I don’t want some rare Japanese blackberry-fern thing peeking it’s ugly head out in my nice new lawn!

  4. Cool Cool Cool.

  5. Tracie, thanks so much for the tag and the review on the camera. I am quite taken with the Kodak … seems I’m back to that choice. I appreciate your input. Take care! ;)

  6. Tracie reminded me about the page, just spent some time I should have been studying catching up. Glad your year has gone well so far. :) Miss you guys. I’ll be back in town for a week starting Friday the 19th. Hope I get a chance to come visit.
