Sunshine and woe is me…

It’s been sunny the last few days so Casey and Cody have taken full advantage of it playing outside as much as they can. They are finally at the ages where they can play well together. It was so cute yesterday when Casey had to go to school, Cody was upset that Casey had to go. Then today as soon as they were done with breakfast, both of them ran into their rooms to get dressed warm. I went in to help and Cody says, “mom, I have to play outside with Casey, OK?!?”. :)

It warms my heart to see them enjoy each other’s company. The norm has usually been Casey playing with something or building blocks and Cody messing it up or vice versa. Then there’d be fights and tears. Not the last couple days though. They’ve been playing perfectly together without any conflict. It’s nice. It’s pretty cold out there too. There was frost on the grass, but that’s not slowing them down. They (we’ve) been out there for two hours today!

On a completely different note:

I can’t really go into details here since this is a public site… but I have something weighing very heavily on my mind lately. It’s been hard to process and know what I should do or how I should approach it. Or if I should approach it at all. I think someone close to me is in trouble and quite possibly has been for a long time. The realization hit me a week ago and I look at this person completely different. It’s someone I’ve known my whole life so it’s kinda hard to see things in this new light… because it’s not a pretty picture. And sadly, the signs have been in front of me all along. I just never put them all together until now. What to do… what to do….

Been a BUSY week for me! Haven’t been able to check the site in a while. Those boys are two of the cutest little critters there is! (The older ones are pretty cute too!)
