Valentine Weekend

I had the most wonderful weekend. First, I woke up to breakfast in bed prepared by Jack and Kevin. And with it came a beautiful card and box of chocolates. Breakfast consisted of a ham and cheese omlette, sausage, raisin toast, orange slices, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, and milk.

Sometime after noon Cathy arrived and we visited till evening, then Jack made a fondue gourmet dinner for us: Highland Fondue with meatballs and rye bread, and for dessert, Chocolate Rum Fondue with bananas, marshmellows and Hawaiian sweet bread. It was simply divine!

We finished the evening with a couple good movies, then on Sunday we picked up Cathy’s daughter, Sarah, in Battle Ground. There Cathy’s car gave us some trouble but Sarah’s friends were able to fix it while Cathy and I had lunch and visted at a restaurant nearby. Then a trek over to Cathy’s sister’s to pick up some Girl Scout cookies her niece was selling. Just a great weekend all around.
