Friday Five

It’s been forever since I’ve done a Friday Five, but today’s looked fun:

You have just won one million dollars:

1. Who do you call first? Jack if he wasn’t with me, then the bank.

2. What is the first thing you buy for yourself? A bigger car.

3. What is the first thing you buy for someone else? I’d get Jack the truck of his dreams.

4. Do you give any away? If yes, to whom? Yes. My immediate family.

5. Do you invest any? If so, how? I would definitely invest. I’m not sure how. I’m not a money expert by any means. Real estate intrigues me though… I’ve always wanted to buy old houses and fix them up to sell, so I’d probably start there. Does that count? :)

Border Decisions

I’m bored and… can’t decide…

Here’s the border we’re going to put up this weekend:

It’s going to go around the whole kitchen and breakfast nook. Would you put it in the middle of that white area above the cupboards or all the way to the ceiling? And, would you start it on the side wall or in front. (Circled). I can’t decide which I like better. (This is a really bad bad Paintshop Pro creation of the picture of the border I took and then kinda pasted into a picture of the kitchen. It’s pretty close to scale though…):

If it ran along the very top, I could fill in the white space under with little cutouts of strawberries/leaves here and there, or would that be too busy? Jack thinks we should run all the way up top and not in the middle. Whatcha think?

New Table

Here’s our new breakfast nook table all finished. Well, mostly. Jack wants to build two more benches to add to it when Cody gets a bit older. We can’t wait to decorate the nook more too. We’ve got a border that will go around the entire kitchen and into the nook but we still need something on that back wall, but I can’t make up my mind on what. A nice picture? Some wallies? Decisions decisions…

We got a new breakfast nook… but it’s not done yet. Everyone is fine for the most part. The dogs and cats are fine. Life is good for the most part. The Thompson clan is doing ok. Nothing new is happening and we’ve been busy doing the same ole-same-ole.

I felt compelled to update… so there it is.

Oh noes!

Hmm… maybe if I go to the link and give them ALL my info like my social sercurity number and my bank account number at the bank I KNOW I have an account at, etc. they’ll unfreeze my account and give me lots of money!

Oh wait. Another email says the FDIC in cooperation with the Department Of Homeland Security, Federal, State and Local Governments, has denied my account insurance from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation due to suspected violations of the Patriot Act. Ack. What did I DO??? Here’s what they said. I’m so upset. oh dear dear dear. (I left the original formatting)
