“Oh Christmas Tree”

Our tree is GORGEOUS. We had a blast cutting it down. Little Jack and Melissa found it. They did good because it’s perfect. It’s about seven feet tall and at least 4 feet wide. I wish our camera worked!!

We’re halfway done with shopping and wrapping too. I love having this all done early this year. We only have a few more things to pick up and we’re set. The only drawback is since we’re done earlier, it makes Christmas seem farther away for the kids. They are used to us putting the tree up about a week, or sometimes even days before Christmas. But now they have to wait a whole month! At least we made a bell with rings on it to help count down the days. :)

Kevin and Melissa’s birthday parties will be on their birthdays again this year. “Lord of the Rings” comes out on Kevin’s birthday so we’ll be seeing that. Then on Melissa’s birthday we’re going to a favorite pizza and games place. ;) People have squawked at me about having their birthdays in the middle of the week but oh well. It’s more fun for THEM to do things ON their birthday especially since their birthdays are only one day apart. This way they each get their own day. So, get used to it! :)

  1. You do as you wish Tracie since we all know you do only what you deem is best for your children (besides i agree with you I think eventually if you just grouped all the kids born in one week together they would resent having to "share" a birthday that wasnt even thier day.

  2. Thanks for coming out and spending the weekend with us guys! :) It was a blast. I’ve never decorated so beautifully before! I’m a huge fan of the holiday season and love the way our house looks!

  3. I think you’re great for giving your kids their own day, It’s bad enough having a birthday so close to Christmas. I can’t wait to see the house all decorated. I wish your camera worked :(. Maybe after finals I can make it down for a visit. (Maybe I will be able to drive again by then)

I hated sharing my birthday with my sister. We’re 13 months apart and would have a party after my birthday and before hers. I like YOUR idea!
