Our Turkey Day
Our Thanksgiving was positively wonderful. I managed to get everything prepared and cooked on time… mostly. The turkey was a bit late. I was going to put it in at 11 but my mom insisted not to put it in till 1. So I did what she said and it was a bit late, lol. Dan said that was ok though, since mom’s turkeys are always late when she cooks them, I was just keeping tradition.
Everyone said the food was great. Most of my family was here as well as my dear friend Susan. The house was clean, decorated, and warm. It was a very special Thanksgiving.
I’m elected to host Christmas too. If it goes half as smoothly and peacefully, I’ll be beyond happy.
Now for the one and only negative about our Thanksgiving day: Cody was (is) sick.
He woke up twice in the middle of the night Wednesday night throwing up. I don’t think my little guy has ever thrown up since he’s become a toddler and it kinda freaked him out. He threw up four times total. He would say, “I don’t like it!” and, “I’m scared”.
Then he said, “Daddy, I sick…” in a very soft and quiet sad voice.
He slept most of Thanksgiving. Everyone kinda took turns babying him. If he wasn’t so sick I’d say he enjoyed all the attention but he was mostly just miserable. Today he’s not much better. He’s gagging and dry-heaving a lot. He’s got a slight fever but he’s drinking lots of pedialyte (1.5 quarts over the last 24 hours or so) and having lots of wet diapers so I know he’s not dehydrated. I can’t wait for this to pass. It’s so sad to see him like this…

I’m glad your Thanksgiving went so well. It must have been wonderful to have such a success of it. Poor Cody. I hope he starts feeling better
PS: I love the raining Christmas trees
Awwww, poor little guy. I hope he is feeling better.
Oh ouch Cathy! That’s a nasty injury! I bet walking really hurts!
Thank you Tracie & Jack! You are both my guardian angels.
You always watch over me! You know Thanksgiving dinner was wonderful!
