Great Weekend

It was a nice weekend in stark contrast to the marathon of overtime from last weekend.

Kevin spent the weekend in the mountains with his Grandpa Bob and various uncles and cousins, while Melissa spent a quality “Girls Weekend” with Grandma Carolyn.

Little Jack’s soccer team beat the stuffing out of their adversaries in a game that ended something like 12-3. (I almost wanted to go hug the other team.)

We took Randy (The dog) to the game and let him get smothered by dozens of little kids, which he loved every moment of. One memorable scene from that was when I looked over and saw Randy dragging Casey across the grass on his belly.

Kayla came over this weekend! Thanks Kay-Kay! It was so good to spend some time with you. You’re getting so big. It warms my heart to see you spend time with your siblings. Melissa demands a rain check!

Didn’t get a whole lot done house-wise this weekend, folded about a dozen loads of laundry and cleaned the house some more. Cody found that one of their big dump trucks made a great tool for bringing a few pounds of dirt in to cover his bedroom floor with. I’m so thankful we have a shop-vac and steam cleaner now!

To polish off a wonderful weekend I got to attend Randy’s obedience training class with Tracie and learn the crucial lesson on how to make dogs drop things they are chewing on. The trick was to offer something better than what they were chewing, which won’t work when Randy snags a slice of pizza from one of the young ones, but might work ok when he’s chewing one of Kevin’s stinky socks. :)

  3. Hi Guys just wanted to let you know im gonna be out of it for a bit. Tuesday evening my right arm, from the elbow to about half way to my wrist swelled to about 2 times its normal size in about 2 hours. later that night I woke up screaming in pain spent 6 hours in the emergency room and found out i have Cellulitis most probably caused from a spider bite. today i have an orthapedic appointment to ensure the infection didnt get into the bone…if it did its hospitalization and antibiotoc injections every 4 hours :-P will let ya know how it goes after the appointment at 1:30 today.
