The end of Summer?
School has started. It’s getting dark earlier. We were even given a rare cloudy and rainy day yesterday. The season seems to be slowly, almost begrudgingly changing, but another 80 degree week will serve to assure us that the Summer hasn’t given up yet.
One of the things I love the most about the Northwest is the different seasons we have. I love the sun, I love the rain, I love the snow we get about every 5-6 years. But the end of summer usually leaves me feeling a little down.
The change of seasons had more of an impact on me when I was a school boy. Back then I would chalk it up to being sad that the summer was over so soon. Now that I’ve been out of school for 15 years I still find myself feeling sad this time of year. Maybe it’s the changing of the tides or the proximity of the moon or just the overload from all the back to school sales.
I just find myself staring out the window at the clouds, pondering my existance and my path.
Don’t get me wrong. Things are going better than at any other point in my life. I just can’t seem to let this season pass without leaving its mark on me. Must be the Virgo in me.

hehe honey we posted within minutes of each other. *hugs*
