1st Day of School Version 2.0

Guess what? Kevin was in the 7th grade today. That’s right. He skipped an entire grade! I might’ve noticed it on his schedule if the darn thing wasn’t greek to me, AND if all the stuff I mentioned in my previous post didn’t happen on his first day, too.

It was figured out when the 6th graders Kevin knew were wondering why Kevin was eating lunch with the 7th graders. Kevin asked a teacher and through their conversation it came out that he was not in fact in the 7th grade. The teacher took him to the office and he spoke with both the 6th and 7th grade counselors and they managed to get his schedule rebuilt with the correct grade and classes. By the time he was done, it was time for the 6th graders to have lunch so he got a second lunch. From there he went to the correct classes for the last two classes for the day.

Now tomorrow morning he starts over again in a whole new homeroom, new teachers, and new classes. Thus, his first day of school take 2. lol Kevin took it in stride and said the whole thing was comical to him. He said the coolest part about it is he knew what they were talking about in the 7th grade classes he attended today and didn’t feel behind at all. LOL

I think it’s safe to say that so far this school has NOT impressed me!

Something completely unrelated.. Our dog chewed up an ink pen and left horrible black ink spots all over our carpet. We tried to get it out with two different carpet stain removers to no avail. After several days of wondering what to do, we tried OxyClean and that got it out completely. I’m impressed. Just thought I’d share. :)
