Friday Five
It’s been forever since I’ve done one of these!
1. Are you going to school this year? Officially, no. But I’m sure I’ll be *at* the schools a lot with three kids in school now! Casey starts kindergarten this year ::sniff::, Melissa will be in 2nd grade, and the one that really blows me away is Kevin will start Junior High!
2. If yes, where are you going (high school, college, etc.)? If no, when did you graduate? Oops.. I covered that in question number 1.
3. What are/were your favorite school subjects? English was always fun for me. So was drama and dance. But I guess the second two are considered “extracurricular”.
4. What are/were your least favorite school subjects? Math and Science. I thoroughly hated both. When I was in school I would’ve said History or Social Studies too but now that I look back, I just had really crappy History and Social Study teachers. Except for one in the 8th grade.. she was cool and I remember enjoying her class. But the rest were like the guy in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Anyone? Anyone?
5. Have you ever had a favorite teacher? Why was he/she a favorite? Ohh… hard to pinpoint. The first one that comes to mind is my 5th grade teacher. The year she taught my class was her first year as a teacher. She was so much fun and always let us know that she was learning too and made us feel important that we were helping her out a lot. She was from Chicago originally and her best friend there was a teacher also. So our two classes were pen pals. It was a lot of fun writing to someone clear across the US! I kept in touch with my pen pal for a good 10 years before we lost contact. I also think my 7th grade Science teacher was a good one, but I skipped class too much to remember much.
And my 11th grade English teacher was awesome. My teen years were “troubled” and he went the extra mile for me all the time and took a special interest in my well-being. When I won an award in the “home” (long story) I was living in, he even came to the ceremony and pinned up the newspaper clipping of me accepting it in the class.

Didn’t you used to something like this on your Blog one day a week? I loved it…and this is great as well!
Yes, it was Friday Five. I did something called "This or That Tuesdays once in a while but don’t even know if that’s still around.
we’re just supposed to read them, right?
What do you mean? Yes, if you’re on my site you just read them. But you can take the questions that are posted at the "Friday Five" website and answer them on your own blog. Click the link.
That’s why I asked…I went to that site and it said to post on my site…Thanks
