Our Anniversary Weekend
Our weekend sucked…
We got there later than we wanted on Friday but had a blast anyway. Went for a walk and shopped a bit, ate dinner, then went to our hotel to watch a movie. This was the only good time we really had.
Saturday I woke up with the stomach flu Kevin had earlier in the week… I’m still not 100% better. We thought about just driving home this day but there are very long stretches of road where there would be no bathroom.. and lets just say that wouldn’t have been a good idea. Jack was very sweet about it though and rented a ton of movies and went on a couple walks to keep himself occupied. I slept most of the day in between getting sick. I think I cried 10 times feeling so awful and feeling bad for ruining our weekend. Again, Jack was sweeter than ever and said at least this time that I was sick on our anniversary weekend, there was a perfectly logical explanation for it.
I woke up Sunday (today) weak, with a backache, and a horrible headache, but at least I wasn’t getting sick every 10 minutes. So we went to breakfast (I ate toast.. yay me) then we came home. End of trip. !@#!@#%!!
We’re booked the same place for the end of next month for a “do-over”…. (The hotel even said they’d honor a “Two Nights for the Price of One” coupon for that weekend too.) *sigh* Our actual anniversary is Thursday so maybe we’ll try to go out that night or something to help make up for it too.
I am sorry to hear that you were sick. You do seem to have bad luck when it comes to your anniversaries. I am sure you "do-over" will be great.
