Hot

It’s gonna be another scorcher today. This isn’t fun! You can’t even go outside and enjoy it because it’s just way too hot. This summer has been so dry and miserable. No rain for two months. I wanted to take the kids somewhere on the bus today but am re-thinking that. If we do [...]

Relaxing weekend..

Had all 6 kids over for the weekend. (The oldest has been boycotting weekend visits for the last few weeks, I suspect it’s a teenager thing. It’s all about her now afterall, but in time things will change.)
We had some pretty good fun. Tracie made some Blueberry muffins for breakfast yesterday morning with Blueberries from [...]

I’m FREE!

I had the *best* day today! I took the kids to the mall. We had breakfast there, got Melissa and Kevin a hair cut, bought Kevin, Melissa, and Casey new backpacks for school, a new watch for me, and we went to the library. That might not seem like a big deal to most people [...]

Happy Birthday Casey!

Look at that adorable little baby! Where’d he go? He’s 5 now! Happy Birthday my little treasure.

He’s always been photogenic, he even won First place in a baby photo contest on the Internet!

I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. I no longer update that site but it’s always fun to read the birth stories of my babies on their birthdays. Happy 5th Birthday, Casey!

Why is it that in order to get a decent flower, you have to plant it, then give it water and just the right amount of sun/shade, talk to it softly and play classical music for it and if you neglect ANY of these steps for a moment then it will wither and [...]

<3

Have I mentioned how much I love my house? I even enjoy the work involved. Like today we woke up and went straight to work before even eating breakfast weeding, watering, cleaning, etc. There is such a sense of pride when you look around and see how nice things look after all your hard work. [...]

Blueberries

A couple days ago we checked our blueberry bushes and found them to be filled with ripe blueberries. We picked a huge bowl’s worth and brought them into the house to be washed. We ate a bunch then Casey and I made blueberry cookies. After we were done, it was Melissa’s turn to make [...]
