Yay!
We got the keys! We went over and picked them up as soon as the call came in. On the front door was a very sweet note from the previous owners welcoming us. We spent an hour just Jack and I alone in our new home. We walked from room to room and admired everything. Then we acted like little kids getting all excited and giddy over some of the neat stuff we didn’t know was there. Like in the kitchen, the pantry has roll-out basket type drawers, and each of the cupboards under the counters had roll out bottoms. And the corner cupboard had two huge lazy Susans. We giggled as we found a fresh banana cream pie left for us from the owners in the beautiful NEW fridge they threw into the deal. (Originally they weren’t.) A nice Whirlpool even…
We walked around the gardens and ate some raspberries off the bushes. Then I stressed a bit about the fancy landscaping. Can we keep up on that? We’ll find out I guess!
I can’t wait for family and friends to see our new home! You’re all invited on the fourth!
AHHHHH
I can’t handle this! The suspense is killing me! They said to call at 3:30 so I called at 2:30… I couldn’t help it!!! When I talked to the person who signed with yesterday, I asked her what if anything could stop this sale from recording today. She said the only thing that could really stop it is if the funds didn’t make it. Well, when I just now called they said the funds are in from the lender so all we’re waiting on now is the record numbers from the courthouse. Then she said since it’s Friday and the end of the month, it could be late afternoon.
I just want it over! hehe Patience is not my thing right now……
I’m so excited though! We’re HOME OWNERS!!!

We Did It!
We signed on the house yesterday. It should record today and we should have the keys this afternoon.
Jack and I are officially home owners.
SO MUCH STRESS!!!!(&!%&*$%!@#*(%$!#
We are scheduled to sign the papers on our house in 1.5 hours.
Can ANYTHING ELSE go wrong or crop up or delay us????
It’s actually been a pretty headache free ordeal, just a LOT of details to work out. I’m just concerned because they really haven’t asked us to DO much. I’m afraid we’ll show up there and they will say “Well? Do you have document X, Y and Z? And did you perform steps 8-162,325 in preparation for the closing process?”
I just can’t get my hopes up… I’m so stressed.
Oh, and I’ve got a boatload of work to do at work and at home too!!!! *(&!^%*(&^!#%(^#(!@%
