Jack ‘n Tracie

It turned out to be a gorgeous day yesterday! Jack got some yard work done and the kids got to play outside most of the day. It looks like another gorgeous day today. I took the opportunity to open up all the windows and doors and get a nice breeze in here while I attempted to catch up on laundry.

We’ve only had a handful of nice days this spring. I suppose it’s a good thing since we needed the rainfall. But I’m really ready for some sunshine and outdoor activities! Especially now that I’m feeling better. The weather forecast is pretty good for the week too. Partly cloudy days all week long. Since I live in the Pacific NW, I know not to count on that though. It could rain in the next five minutes, lol.

Kevin got to have his best friend spend the night on Friday night, then he went to his birthday party Sunday. It was kind of sad because Kevin is the only one who showed up at the party. I guess the nice weather had everyone away. His friend seemed happy to have him there and loved the present Kevin picked out for him, so I think it was all good in the end.

Little Jack, Melissa, Casey, and Cody played hard this weekend both indoors and out with friends from across the complex. Katherine wasn’t feeling well and stayed home with her mom for some rest. Kayla was a spaz all weekend, lol. I don’t know how else to describe her. She was just in a really good mood and very energetic.

We all had such a busy weekend that we slept in today. Jack is the only one who got up in time, but he was so groggy that he forgot to wake the rest of us up and just went off to work. I had to call him back home to take Kevin and Melissa to school since they missed the bus. It was kinda funny because I don’t think that’s ever happened to us before.

Today we have an important appointment. I know this is cryptic… but cross your fingers for us around 3:00 PM today. I’m nervous!
