People are weird
So we got some new neighbors across from us. We’ve met them a couple times already because they came and scoped out the complex and neighborhood a few times before they applied for the apartment. They seemed like nice people and I’ve been looking forward to having some nice neighbors.
Our neighbors next door have turned the music down. But the new thing is the four cars they have crammed into their two car driveway. They are parking the extra two cars in the yard on either side of the driveway. As if that wasn’t bad enough, they have been parking a fifth car in the driveway across from me.
The new tenants who are now renting that unit spoke with them a couple days ago about it. Every time they’ve come to check out their apartment, there’s been a car in their driveway. So they wanted to be sure that the neighbors next to us knew that they would be beginning to move in Thursday evening and they would no longer be able to park a car in his driveway. Last night we noticed a car in his driveway and assumed it was his.
This morning my boys have been rather loud and rambunctious. I stepped outside while on the phone with an important call so I could hear better. The new tenant across from me stormed over to me and said, “What is up with those sons of bitches next door to you?” I shh’d him and told him I was on an important call. Fortunately I was on hold at that point. When I was done with the call he told me the car that was parked in his driveway was NOT his and was my neighbor’s. *sigh* Then he said if he finds one of their cars in his driveway again, he’ll just take a sledge hammer to it. Lovely. So now my neighbor across from me has anger issues? LOL I can completely understand him being upset. I would be too. Maybe he was just joking? When I told him if it were me I’d just inform the management, he said yeah but that’s too much of a hassle.
You know, it just seems to me that these neighbors next door to me don’t really give a rat’s hiney about anyone but themselves. They have came in to this place as though they own it. They are as loud as they want, they park their cars all over, it appears they have at least two families living in there, and if anyone complains they’ll claim discrimination.
